Description
Summary:Through the use of Laboratory Virtual Instrumental Engineering Workbench, (LabVIEW) a number of algorithms will be designed, implemented and integrated by the proponents of this study. Study algorithms are multi-target tracking, IR-based thermal imaging and anomaly detection. With a single camera and an IR sensor as its accessory, acquisition of both video and temperature values were made possible. These acquired data are to be stored on a digital video recorder and a computer processor respectively, and will then be processed offline. Integration will lie in the design and implementation of a database aided by Microsoft SQL Server. Not were only three separate algorithms integrated in this study, but two separate data sources and hardware were unified as well. Indeed, the integration of all these software and hardware contributed to the successful implementation of a more improved and hopefully in the future, a sought after surveillance system.
