Effects of water stress on the growth of Vignasesquipeddalis (bush sitao)

Vigna sesquipedalis (bush sitao) were watered with different levels of water (100%, 75%, 50% and 25% of field capacity) to determine its effects on the morphological characteristics and tissue nitrogen and phosphorus during the vegetative, reproductive and ripening stages. As the water level was dec...

As the water level was decreased, shoot length, no. of leaves and dry weight decreased significantly during the vegetative stage. Likewise, during the reproductive stage, there was also a decrease in shoot length, no. of leaves, dry weight and the no. of flowers. For the ripening stage, the formation of pods significantly declined when water level was reduced. Although decrease was however non-significant. Tissue nitrogen and phosphorus was also significantly affected. 1999-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_bachelors/10959 Bachelor's Theses English Animo Repository
