Thus for a more continuous flow of traffic, an Electric Toll Collection (ETC) system was introduced to help alleviate traffic congestions specifically at Toll Plazas. The paper aims to evaluate the condition of NLEX's ETC called EC-Tag and compare it to other modes of payment. By using Queuing theory, we will be able to analyse the performance of each lane and show the significance of using EC-Tag. This paper also aimed to compare the overall performance of NLEX to other ETC using expressways such as the South Luzon Expressway (SLEX) and other expressways in other Countries. As a result, we were able to find out that using EC-Tag as a mode of payment has a lot of benefits not only for the rider but the whole expressway. Although we are still behind some other countries in terms of capacity it can accommodate, we can clearly see that NLEX is giving effort to make it more efficient in terms of service and capacity. 2013-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_bachelors/10998 Bachelor's Theses Animo Repository
