In the increasing amount of Filipinos working abroad there is also an increase of number of families who are divided because of its members, especially the parents working abroad, thus leaving the child at home with a guardian or with the left parent. The study is about the experiences of children with their OFW parents and there are difference between children who are left during their early childhood and children who are left during adolescent years. The researchers focused on the study on the different experiences between the age group as this may actually help families consider their decisions on what could their children experience if they are left during a specific age range. The researchers conducted a case study between nine (9) sets of families, interviewing nine (9) children who were left during early childhood, seven (7) children who were left during their adolescent years, nine (9) OFW parents and nine (9) guardians.
