The Endeavour was to contribute more on the existing knowledge about the relationship of the presence and absence of animal companions to their subjective well-being and family satisfaction. The review of past empirical studies suggested that the families with the presence of pets showed a happier disposition in life and were more satisfied in their respective lives compared to those who did not own any animal companion. This study utilized two scales namely Family Satisfaction Scale and Authentic Happiness Inventory. Interview guides were used as another instrument to provide more substantial evidence in answering the research problems. Because of this rationale, the results confirmed the assumption of past literature reviews that families with the presence of animal companions were significantly happier and more satisfied with their family lives. 2012-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_bachelors/11043 Bachelor's Theses English Animo Repository Human-animal relationships Psychology
