Description
Summary:It is commonly expected that the biological mother be the one to breastfeed her own child. However, having another mother breastfeed your own baby or Wet nursing is gaining popularity here in the Philippines ever since breastfeeding advocates pushed promotions for breast milk. There is little known about the wet nurse herself and the nature of her advocacy. This includes, priority issues, and conflict in relationship with family and society. This case study of a wet nurse shows the evident support of the family and that their advocacy is purely for mother support and not for profit.
