Punsal, Francis Gerard L. Vergara, Ara Marie M. Kaisahang Buhay Foundation Incorporated (KBF Inc.) is a private, non-profit, child and family welfare organization which aims to provide unity within the family unit. KBF believes that, by equipping members of the family with skills to find suitable jobs and capital to start their own businesses, they are able to contribute to the holistic development of every parent and child. KBF has three (3) livelihood programs under its family and community outreach service. The livelihood programs are the following: (1) skills training program (2) capital assistance program and (3) job placement program. KBF communicates its three (3) livelihood programs through a 2 hour orientation for its beneficiaries. In order to achieve their goals, KBF must effectively communicate the integration of the 3 livelihood programs to their target audience, specifically the members from their 6 partner communities (Barangay Escopa 1, Barangay Escopa 2, Barangay Escopa 3, Barangay Escopa 4, Barangay Duyan-Duyan, and Barangay Industrial Valley Complex, Olandes, Marikina City). However, based from the audit, the orientation was found to be ineffective in conveying the significance and integration of their family & community outreach service three livelihood programs. This is manifested by the participants poor appreciation of the program components and reluctance to avail of the programs despite its availability. Since KBF current communicative mechanism for its target public is ineffective, the researchers provided the organization with a remolded orientation that aimed to effectively convey information regarding KBFlivelihood programs as well as how these programs are integrated. The remolded orientation is complete with a revised program flow which was supplemented by the following materials: (1) a revised powerpoint presentation (2) a supplementary video featuring two success stories of former livelihood participants, and (3) an informational folder containing a general brochure and 3 pamphlets. All the collaterals proposed by the thesis group were made through consultation and collaboration with the organization and were subjected to their final evaluation. 2014-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_bachelors/11095 Bachelor's Theses English Animo Repository Child welfare--Philippines Family services--Philippines Communication |
