Summary:Kawala is a 17-minute short feature film that tells the story of Antonio Tonio Morales who is released from prison he has endured a 10-year sentence for robbery and homicide as well as the burden of being an abusive partner and father to his wife (Janet) and daughter (Jocelyn). Now a free man, Tonio wants nothing more than to make amends with his daughter, Jocelyn. Despite his criminal records, Tonio tries to look for a job to financially support Jocelyn with her pregnancy. However, due to Jocelyn's increasing demands, he gives into recidivism and therefore steals again. Meanwhile, the film reveals that Jocelyn is not pregnant and that the grudges she's holding against her father drove her to get him to commit a crime and to go back to jail - a revenge that Tonio deserves.
