Not only are mobile devices used for calling or sending message, but are also used for downloading files and internet browsing. Furthermore, with the rapid growth of Wi-Fi usage, new mobile devices are being designed to use Wi-Fi along with Bluetooth and sometimes Infrared. With these new available technologies, there is a great need for file transfer between devices. This thesis seeks to develop an application in which mobile devices can transfer files without the use of a server. Mobile devices such as mobile phones and laptops will be used for the file transfer.
