Wycoco, Katherine Joy V. Most studies on sexual identity are focused on lesbians, gays, bisexuals and transgender (LGBT) as a whole. This study, however, focuses on female bisexuals in the Philippines alone by establishing a deeper understanding on the lived experiences of Filipina bisexuals through the assessment of its development, relationships and issues about bisexuality. A qualitative research method was used, particularly semi-structured interviews with 14 self-identified female bisexuals ranging from 18 to 42 years old. Results show that bisexuals go through several stages of development such as 1) Inclination, 2) Denial, 3) Confusion, 4) Acceptance, 5) Liberation and 6) Perceived as a phase. It also shows how the bisexuals and their significant others deal with their relationships through 3 sub-categories. 1) Family: Fear, Opposition and Approval 2) Friends : Peer acceptance, Reluctance and behavioral changes 3) Romantic: Attraction, Openness, Compensating, Unsatisfied, Affection, and Insecurity. Lastly, it identified the attitude and behavioral that other people have toward them namely 1) Discrimination and 2) Tolerance. 2008-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_bachelors/11172 Bachelor's Theses English Animo Repository Bisexuals Gender identity Gender nonconformity Psychology
