Description
Summary:Persons with Disabilities or PWD are generally people who are either physically, mentally, intellectually, etc. impaired PWDs may also seem to be limited in doing daily tasks. In this study, a total of 3 participants living with disability were interviewed by the researchers in the Philippine setting in the hope of getting glimpse of what life is like for those who also live with similar conditions in the Philippines their views on subjects such as discrimination, employment, interpersonal relationships, government, society, and the overall stigma against PWDs are discussed by the participants, which the researchers intend to add emphasis to the growing need for attention in PWD disparities. Data analysis of this study was based on using the Critical Theory. Using Critical Theory was used to understand PWDs reactions and experiences as the theory explains the unequal use of resources and division of power in society. Thus, this divides the society into the abled-bodies and the disabled bodies (West & Gandhi, 2006).
