Description
Summary:Physics is one of the primary subjects taught in secondary education today. Students often find it difficult to understand Physics due to the over-abundance of oftentimes complex formulas. Teachers conversely find it difficult to convey their understanding of Physics to the students. Physics is an important subject because of its many uses in technology today. This includes different applications in areas such as space, science, microelectronics, environmental science, transportation, medical technology and computer technology. A Physics simulation software is a technology that mimics the outcome of certain scenarios based on different conditions that would approximate what happens in real life. The proponents of this research developed a Physics simulation software that will be used as an aid for teaching high school Physics. The system is able to accept scenarios in which values and objects can be defined by the user. Upon deployment, the software was tested in five different classes from three different schools specifically. The software was used as a teaching tool by the said teacher that he/she used in lecturing to the class. Students from the different schools found the software as a visualization of the physics topics and an enhancement in the teaching method.
