Picture Book 3 is a story generation system based on Picture Books, an existing story generation system developed at the Center for Language Technologies, De La Salle University. Picture Books automatically generate stories based on a single scene and a single character selected by the user. The story generated is aimed towards children learning about rules and lessons in life. Picture Book 3 is aimed towards children beginning to socialize and interact with their peers. Using a combined author-centric and character-center approach, the structure of the story can be made to be robust despite the presence of multiple characters with complementing traits and competing goals. In an author-centric approach to story generation, the main flow of the story centers on the goal of the main character, and the sequence of events includes the actions of secondary characters whose goals either support or contradict that of the main character. Intelligent agents are used in the generation of the story. Three different agents are used to model a certain role necessary in the process of story generation a character agent represents the individuality of each character, while the world agent is to keep track of the story world. Ultimately, these agents interact with each other to generate the story. 2011-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_bachelors/11267 Bachelor's Theses English Animo Repository Photography of families Generations Computer Sciences
