The data gathered were analyzed and several themes were evident in the interviews. The researchers found out why there is a need for violence, such as hazing, to occur when joining a fraternity. It was discovered that violence in the initiation rites is considered a tradition and a necessity because of several factors discussed in the study. In addition, the researchers found out the reasons of people for joining the fraternity.
