Description
Summary:Smart card is a plastic card that contains a microprocessor for storing and processing information. Sinceit's development in Europe in 1973, it has been widely used in various services such as electronic payment, identification, and loyalty in different countries. Although the smart card research and development has matured in European countries and some Asian countries, the Philippines is still in the infancy stage with regards to the application of smart cards. De La Salle currently uses a smart card as identification card for its students. The application ends here, leaving the potential use of smart cards to waste. This research aims to identify the different services that can benefit from using a smart card, thus maximizing the use of this technology to support the student activities on campus.
