This film echoes that sentiment as it examines the love for a certain craft and the depths of human pride. The film follows the adventures of a fresh college culinary graduate as he sets off into his ancestral province to unwind after his grueling affair with college, and is unexpectedly plunged into a journey of self discovery. In the province he runs into an old family friend who serves as his mentor for cooking native cuisine later on, as she guides him in learning an age old craft that has been passed down from a source closer to his heart than he realizes. Set against the peaceful and scenic background of Bicol, the locale contrasts with the clashing emotions within our protagonist as he battles to toss down the pride he has gained as a college graduate from Manila to learn from a person he barely knows from the province. In the process he sheds a calloused shell of who he is and discovers a more humble and passionate self. 2011-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_bachelors/11373 Bachelor's Theses English Animo Repository Short films Young adults--Life skills guides Life skills Communication |
