Surveys are often used in order to learn the behavior of people. In the setting of the national elections, these are used to collect information about the voters' preferences, towards a certain candidate or a certain issue. This information is vital to both candidates and policy-makers knowing what people want would give them better judgment in their decisions. Although surveys can provide information regarding what the voters want, it is not enough as basis for understanding their behavior. To address the shortcomings of surveys, a modeling approach is considered. Studies concerning the use of models in understanding voters' behavior have been done in the past. These models were used in simulations to explain the relationships between voters and factors that affect them. Studying these existing models will serve as a starting point in developing a model for the Filipino Voter. This study deals with the modeling of Filipino voters and their behavior during elections. A simulation is presented as proof of concept.
