Description
Summary:Sustainable energy is one of the main concerns of the world today. As we have limited resources for our utilities like electricity, the trend nowadays is to harness green energy from what we can. The energy harvesting keyboard and mouse system aims to promote sustainable energy by prolonging the life of batteries that are considered chemical wastes after their life cycles. With the improvement of technology and emergence of new products geared for cleaner energy, the system aims to use the power from the direct piezoelectric effect where the mechanical energy like from the typing motion from a keypad and the clicking of the mouse buttons will result to parasitic amounts of energy that can e used to charge the on-board batteries. The system as well aim to use the power derived from a dynamo adding to that of the power derived from the piezoceramics. And one important feature as well of the system is to be able to create a power and power saving keypad and mouse energy harvester.
