The automation of traditional elections posed new problems as seen during the 2010 Philippine national elections. Today, we have the technology that can solve most of the issues encountered during elections. In particular, technologies such as automated data capturing and encryption are seen as possible ways to lessen the occurrence of fraud in elections. Analysis of algorithms used in encryption, architectures for the transmission, and automated election system designs will be of use to constructing the proposed system. This paper proposes a voter verifiable automated election system that will be implemented in the De La Salle University student government elections however, only the server of this system will be the focus of this paper. The system incorporates the use of contactless smart and virtual private networks to ensure authenticity, data confidentiality and data integrity.
