Through this study, the researchers compared and contrasted the differences in the business models of a traditional for profit company and a social enterprise - the very essence of their daily operations - to shed light on what make their organizations unique, be it in the way their organizations are governed, what values they instill in their employees, their value chain, financing requirements and strategic initiatives. Traditional for profit enterprises enjoy mainstream recognition from consumers which result to their industry-leading positioning and sales figures, while their social counterparts are still working towards achieving the vision of making sustainable yet profitable and socially-focused directed to both consumers and communities.
