Gamboa, Ma. Beatriz S. So, Eunice Diorelle Y. The present examined the type of relationship patients of stage 4 breast cancer would want with their doctors and how it influenced their perceived well-being. In order to acquire sufficient data, interviews were done to 10 patients who revealed that the patients have their own expectations towards their doctors and how they want their doctors to deal them and how their established relationship could influence their perceived well-being. Based on the results, most patients prefer the paternalistic and mutual type of doctor-patient relationship or a combination of both since they are given the right amount of cares and in a way lessens their distress. This shows that doctors indeed play an important role when an individual is diagnosed with a terminal illness. From this study alone, the connection between the relationship and well-being cannot be denied. 2012-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_bachelors/11581 Bachelor's Theses English Animo Repository Breast--Cancer Physician and patient Psychology
