Fuentes, Marice Abigail B. Galicia, Juvie Anne H. This study aimed to determine the psychometric qualities of the Emotional Quotient Questionnaire. It specifically refined the test in terms of establishing its reliability, validity and norms. The test was administered to 202 Filipino adults working in the industrial sector. Data gathered from the respondents were analyzed using different statistical techniques. First, item total correlation was employed to remove items that did not reach the cut-off of .30. This left 41 valid items. Coefficient alpha was used to determine internal consistency and the test-retest method to determine the stability of the test. These two statistical techniques yielded the reliability indices. Exploratory factor analysis was employed to determine construct validity and Spearman's correlation coefficient for ranked data to determine the criterion validity by correlating the EQQ score of the sales agents with their respective clients premium payments. Norms were constructed in the form of percentile ranks and stanine scores. Findings show that the EQQ has high reliability with a coefficient alpha of .932 and a test-retest coefficient of .991. The exploratory factor analysis confirmed the existence of the four original domains of the EQQ namely coping, personal relations, responsibility and temperament. The correlation coefficients of the EQQ and the clients' premium payments of the sales agents came out mostly negative. This is attributed to different reasons. The percentile rank was utilized since it is easy to understand, even by non-experts. The stanine scores were obtained from the Guilford-Zimmerman Temperament Survey. These were included so as to lessen the limiting of an individual to a certain score. 2000-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_bachelors/11636 Bachelor's Theses English Animo Repository
