Nola, Edessa A. This study focuses on the roles and adjustments made by widowed midlifers and their significant others. Results show that widowed midlifers and their significant others experience changes in the different areas of their lives such as, family, career, and the socio-civic aspect. These changes then initiate certain adjustments among the respondents. These adjustments then pertain to certain roles that they have to assume. There roles include being a financial provider, decision maker, and a socially active individual.
