A study and development of recycled concrete as a substitute of aggregate in concrete
This study involves the effect of recycled concrete on the flexural and compressive strength of concrete. The crushed concrete was obtained from an actual on-site construction. The crushed concrete was then analyzed, remixed and tested. The proportions of both coarse and fine aggregates that were su...

The crushed concrete was obtained from an actual on-site construction. The crushed concrete was then analyzed, remixed and tested. The proportions of both coarse and fine aggregates that were substituted from the original design mix were as follows 10%, 30% and 50%. This study produced a total of 33 cylinder and 21 beams, including the control samples. This study showed that substituting recycled concrete for coarse aggregates produced a slight decrease in the compressive and flexural strength of the concrete. However by substituting recycled concrete as fine aggregates, the concrete experienced a significant drop in both compressive and flexural strength. 2000-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_bachelors/11670 Bachelor's Theses English Animo Repository |
