An analysis on the use of Cebu field-run aggregate in concrete mix

This study was done with the intention of the researchers to determine whether the utilization of Cebu field-run coarse aggregate was acceptable as an alternative coarse aggregate for concrete mix with respect to its compressive strength. Cebu field-run coarse aggregates were gathered from the city...

Cebu field-run coarse aggregates were gathered from the city of Danao, which were hand-picked at various cornfields in the city and manually crushed by the researchers to the desired size. In the test for compressive strength of the concrete sample, the concrete mixture using 0% Cebu field-run aggregate exhibited a higher compressive strength than the samples containing Cebu field-run aggregate. The higher the percentage of Cebu field-run aggregates in the concrete sample, the lesser is its compressive strength. This result may be due to the properties of a limestone such as the Cebu field-run aggregate, which is brittle in nature. 2001-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_bachelors/11687 Bachelor's Theses English Animo Repository
