This simulated module is readily interfaced with existing Ethernet network cards, to perform similar networking functions in wireless conditions. This wireless feature would allow individual workstations to become mobile within their theater of operations, reduce the inconveniences of installing and maintaining network cables, and in time will be able to provide better and faster network services. This software would study the possible design and implementation of a wireless transceiver module in an Ethernet environment. The method of transmission chosen is Direct Sequence Spread Spectrum (DSSS), a form of RF transmission that is specifically suitable for data transmission. Infrared and commercial RF transceivers were rejected because these were not capable of high performance data communication. The possible design for the wireless digital data transceiver module would be composed of signal conversion semiconductors to coordinate signal transformations in the Ethernet network, memory interfaces to buffer the flow of data, and (DSSS) RF transceiver chipsets to transmit and receive data in a wireless medium. Another simulated method is to establish a wireless link in the direct cable connection feature of Windows 95 to access the Ethernet network.
