However, the development and utilization of Information Communications Technology (ICT) has benefited trade leading to economic growth within a nation. With ICT, different costs in trade are eliminated, communication becomes easier, and trade facilitation becomes more efficient. This study aims to determine the effect of ICT towards the trade volume of the ASEAN-5 and see how the role of distance changes with the proliferation of ICT utilizing the Gravity Model. The researchers focused in the ASEAN-5 namely: Singapore, Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, and Malaysia specifically looking at five priority sectors which are textiles, transportation, electronics, transportation, and telecommunications. The researchers hypothesize that the ICT penetration in the country would increase the level of trade volume as well as diminishing the role of distance. 2011-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_bachelors/11820 Bachelor's Theses English Animo Repository
