Evaluating responses of different shoppers of selected grocery stores in Quezon City to the plastic bag ordinance

At a glance, this research examines the effectiveness of decisions made by Quezon City grocery stores, specifically decisions regarding usage and distribution of different carriers. This research surveys literatures and issues sourced from both local and international agencies that help reduce environmental inefficiencies in the product cycle of carriers. Through descriptive statistics and probit analysis, this research confirms that grocery shoppers in lower-to-middle and middle-to-higher income classes are responsive towards the plastic carrier bag ordinance implemented in Quezon City. For carrier regulation, this research favors usage of cloth carrier bags and carton boxes due to their underlying advantages and disadvantages in terms of their usage, reusability, and disposal.
