However, there are only a few studies which focus on the sexual development of an young-adult who transitioned from homosexuality to heterosexuality, especially studies that investigate the roles of family and peers play on the sexual development of homosexual young-adult to heterosexual and its differences in gender through a general qualitative research design. This study purposively sampled eight participants, half of which are women and the rest are men. The participants are interviewed in order to gather data and thematic analyses were used to answer the research questions. As for a validity check, this study used member checking to establish the trustworthiness of the study's findings.
