Description
Summary:Cartwheel Foundation is a non-profit, non-government organization that focuses on providing access to culturally sensitive education to Indigenous People (IP) in the Philippines. Through the request and collaboration of different IP tribes of the Philippines, Cartwheel Foundation helps develop and design curriculums that are specific to the needs of the culture and traditions of each partner community. Cartwheel provides several programs that are a holistic avenue in which children and elders can gain access to education despite their seclusion and situation. Through this study, it was found that Cartwheel Foundation lacks the tools and knowledge to effectively communicate their need of volunteers to run and support the expanding programs of Cartwheel Foundation. Previously, Cartwheel Foundation did not specifically recruit, communicate, and reach out to potential volunteers. The manual and presentation kit designed for this study is going to teach the Cartwheel mainstay staff how to conduct and carry out recruitment using the tools in the kit in order to effectively communicate the need of Early Childhood Education majors in the communities of Culion, Palawan.
