Drum & Bass: Electronica-Turned-Live is a music documentary that focuses on how Drum & Bass in the Philippines has evolved from a musical genre that was purely electronic in nature to a style that live musicians have been able to incorporate into their own music despite its speed and complexity. By means of interviews from listeners, DJs and live musicians coupled with electronic and live performances, the documentary takes the viewers on a musical journey that will inform them about what Drum and Bass is about and how it has influenced the live music scene in the Philippines. Divided into three main parts, the documentary shows the evolution of Drum and Bass music from its electronic roots, to its fusion with live instruments, and finally to how it has become a style which is played live. A demonstration of a spontaneous Drum and Bass jam by two local musicians serves as the main conclusion to the documentary to allow the viewers to actually see how an electronic genre has been turned into a live mode of playing music. 2007-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_bachelors/11944 Bachelor's Theses English Animo Repository
