The piezoelectric crystal generates electric charges on its surface when mechanical strain is applied to it. That is why piezoelectric crystals are ideal for heavy weight pressure. A perfect example for this kind of pressure is the weight in the wheels of a mining trolley. Since these carts carry very intense mining loads, the weight can be maximized by inserting a piezoelectric transducer to the wheels to harvest energy. The potential generated from the wheels can be used in the lighting of the mining trolley and having this kind of energy, the consumption of electrical energy may be minimized from power line companies. The purpose of this study is to generate energy using piezoelectric crystals by applying great pressure to it through the wheels of a mining trolley. This will serve as an alternative power source in supplying energy to the lighting of the mining trolleys. With this objective, the study aims to minimize energy consumption from power plants and instead generate energy in a more efficient and practical way. 2011-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_bachelors/11955 Bachelor's Theses English Animo Repository |

Electricity has been a necessity in today's culture. This is why harvesting allowable form of energy become relevant. There are many ways of generating alternative energy. One example is through a transducer called the piezoelectric crystal. The piezoelectric crystal generates electric charges on its surface when mechanical strain is applied to it. That is why piezoelectric crystals are ideal for heavy weight pressure. A perfect example for this kind of pressure is the weight in the wheels of a mining trolley. |
