Zuño, Jose Valeriano B., III Executive Summary. Based from the study conducted on the drawing section of Sphere's Metalcraft, it was established that the company's main problem is The drawing section of the company exceeds the maximum allowable limit for scratches in the aluminum circle by 8.04% causing losses in net profit amounting to Php 436,643.15 annually. Upon the determination of the main problem, a cause and effect analysis immediately followed to determine the cause of such a problem. With the use of a cause and effect diagram, it was determined that there are two causes of the problem that makes it exceed the company standard by 8.04%. These are: a) Aluminum bits leftover inside the draw press machine due to no policy on cleaning, b.) Improper stacking of formed bodies of water kettle. With the determination of the two main causes, alternative solutions were generated-four alternatives for problem 1 while three alternatives for problem 2. Upon evaluation of these alternatives, a proposed solution was determined. These are: a.) Do maintenance and cleaning after every 150 units produced, b.) Avail of a new pushcart (Layered). By conducting a cost-benefit analysis, it was projected that the company would gain Php 436,643.15 in net profit annually. Scratches would be reduced from 10.04% to only 2% of total annual production. This shows a decrease of 8.04%. This significantly improves the financial standing of the company as well as meeting the company standard for only 2% unit scratches in total annual production. 2001-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_bachelors/11984 Bachelor's Theses English Animo Repository |
