Growth of the drugstore industry has been accelerating due to increasing demand of medicinal products. This has brought about greater influx of information in drugstore companies. The proposed Drugstore Management System (DRUMS) aims to address this situation. In the existing system, the main office is responsible for ordering products from the supplier and distributing them to the branches. These activities are achieved with the use of stock position. Drugstore personnel obtain this data through inventory checking. Thus, making an error in this stage may result to discrepancies in pricing of goods, failure to make appropriate orders and return damaged or expiring goods. This consequently causes losses in revenue and sales. This situation affects the branch greatly since sales is mainly the branch's responsibility. Using the cash register in the point-of-sales system has several drawbacks. Information gathered from this equipment is limited to gross sales, which is insufficient to run a company efficiently. Another drawback is it slows down productivity. DRUMS can help the main office through its link to the branch. Entry of products form the supplier to their disbursement to customers will be kept track of. This organizes communication and business processes in both the main office and branches. 1998-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_bachelors/12006 Bachelor's Theses English Animo Repository |
