Majel Distributor Specialist-Inventory Monitoring System (MDS-IMS) is a system that helps the Inventory department in their day to day transactions as well as in the decision making of the management. The group pursues for the improvements of Majel Distributor Specialist's inventory monitoring. Currently their manual system does not take much advantage of the latest available computing technology. The existing system consists of a clerk generating the reports. All inventory functions are performed manually. The proponents request to advance their ability to reduce the costs associated with inventory by implementing an inventory monitoring system. The system is conceptualized as single user system that allows the individual involved to conduct the majority of the firm's business through access to an inventory file thereby managing the inventory, orders, and generating the appropriate reports. There is a password for each user and these are encrypted. The group made the new system to adapt the needs of the users and to help them in their day operations to achieve greater benefits (tangible and intangible benefits). The new system also provides easier access to information needed regarding the inventory. The ability to monitor the stocks properly would in turn minimize loss, avoid stock discrepancies and etc. that would surely make the processes in the inventory department more efficient. The company would also be able to save resources by eliminating their manual processes that needs a lot of resource materials, like folders, fasteners, etc. 1999-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_bachelors/12026 Bachelor's Theses English Animo Repository |
