The bottled water industry has become popular due to many households and establishments opting to drink bottled water compared to tap water. With the increasing consumption of bottled water, device called water dispensers have become part of the appliances of houses and establishments in our country, this is what brought about to this study. From the initial findings of the study, based on interviews and surveys and with the aid of Quality Function Development-House of Quality analysis tool, it showed that there are customers attributes that were not satisfied by the present water dispensers in the country. These are Drip-free faucet, Size of dispensing area, No water spillage during installation, Ease of water container installation, Effortless dispensing of water, and Faucet is within comfortable reach. The study aimed to design a water dispenser that would satisfied the above customers' attributes, which considered the significant factors or engineering characteristics of the water dispenser. This goal was achieved by applying risk analysis using Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) on the engineering characteristics. And also by applying the statistical design of experiment using the Design Expert 6.0 (DX6) software on the engineering characteristics that was analyzed, which were body casing height, dispensing area height, faucet to floor height and type of faucet. The optimal setting of the factors was derived from the model generated in the analysis process of the stages in DX6 software, and it showed that the solution was given at 75.48 cm. body casing height, 49.65 cm dispensing area height, 109.55 cm faucet to floor height, and push-pull faucet type. 2002-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_bachelors/12059 Bachelor's Theses English Animo Repository
