Tiu, Stephanie C. Ty, Vincent Q. Executive Summary. The Materials Management System (MMS) is an application system that performs planning, monitoring and management of supplies, equipment and contracts used by the Information Services Division (ISD) of Insular Life Assurance Company Ltd. (ILAC). It is an application customarily developed for the ISD, which functions more than just a classical inventory application. It involves three primary routines: (1) Supplies Management, (2) Equipment Management, and (3) Contract Management. Such application is customarily developed according to the needs and requirements of the ISD. The project was conceptualized in order to identify and solve problems existing in the current system accordingly thereby meeting the needs of the three departments of the division namely : Computer Operations, Systems Development, and Technical Support. The project is significant to the department personnel in that efficiency in monitoring various materials used by the division is increased. The flow of each department's materials is properly controlled with the use of MMS application. The key personnel who will use the system-(1) Job Controller/Custodian, (2) PC Engineer, (3) Department Manager and (4) Supervisor in the division would profit in the implementation of the system in that intangible benefits are observed and fulfilled within three departments. The functionality of MMS application is verified through the attainment of objectives set by the proponents and the result of the user acceptance test. The group recommends that if the implementation of the application were successful in the ISD, the company can also install and utilize the system with the other divisions of the organization. 1999-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_bachelors/12068 Bachelor's Theses English Animo Repository |
