Chan, Ryan Henricson Foronda, Andre Marban, Eduardo Ewaldo Executive Summary. This study is concerned with the Systems Study of the Production of Les Products Company, Inc. The problem being addressed is the company's inability to meet the customer's demand of 21.84%. It is a serious and urgent problem because monthly opportunity losses amount to as much as Php 105,450.00. The system management believes that they have significant time and resources to solve this problem. The main causes for the inability to meet the demand are breakdown of machines, stoppages, thread line rejects and inconsistent width rejects. All of these causes when combined constitutes 80% of the problem which when solved can address the rest of the 20% of the causes. The proposed solution to solve the problem is to hire additional technical personnel and to adopt a regular preventive maintenance program for the production department. It will not change any existing activities in the flow process but rather, it would require additional responsibilities and duties to some of the personnel in the company. This solution is expected to result to an increase of profit by Php 531,450.00 per year. The production would also have an increase in output of 19,686 rolls when compared to the demand of garter. It also would result to a qualitative benefit of being able to meet the customer deadlines. The implementation of the recommended solution is proposed to start as soon as possible that will last for approximately 3 months as a trial run. Evaluation will be done for 6 days by the group. 2002-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_bachelors/12088 Bachelor's Theses English Animo Repository |
