One day, he finds out that his sister died from diabetes, while at the same time the company announces that someone was going to be promoted soon. He leaves for the province and brings his work along with him. There he meets Melo, Luisa's husband, and MJ, their daughter. After the burial, NIles receives a box from Melo which contains most of NIles' achievements and a journal that Luisa had kept.
