(PMS-DMCI) encompasses the monitoring of the schedule, cost, manpower, materials and equipment in a project site. Monitoring these resources is vital in the effective management of a project. The Engineering Office is accountable for insuring that the project is within schedule as well as within budget. The Timekeeping Section keeps track of the performance of the workers. Members of this section are also in charge of preparing Manpower Requisition Slips and the reports regarding manpower. The stock Clerks are responsible for monitoring the materials in the project site. They prepare the Materials Requisition Slips and the reports regarding materials. They are also in charge of generating the Equipment Requisition Slips and other reports regarding equipment. An Assigned Equipment-In-Charge from the main office monitors the equipment in the project site. The purpose of the PMS-DMCI is to provide a more effective project management system. A more efficient flow of information will promote speed in the daily transactions thus result to increase in productivity from personnel. Despite speed in the flow of information, security is insured by having levels of users and passwords for the different users of the program. Keeping up with the schedule will insure things are still in line with the contract made with the client. Being within budget will guarantee more profit for the company. Proper use of resources will mean more profit as the project site eliminates misuse of these resources. It aims to utilize a common database to insure there is no redundancy of data. Use of the power of other applications such as MSProject and Excel promotes flexibility.
