Description
Summary:The developed multimedia presentations are unique in that they cater to two types of viewers---the audience and the users the audience being the students, and the users being the instructors. Hence they are called instructional tools. These instructional tools were designed specifically for the course MACCOMS or Managerial and Financial Accounting for Computer Science. This thesis is part of the college's project Information Technology in Education Research whose aim is to improve the delivery of instructions for computer science courses through the use of information technology. These instructional tools for MACCOMS only include chapters in the latter part of the course, particularly the chapters on Accounting in a Merchandising Environment, Introduction to Internal Control, Accounting in a Manufacturing Environment, and Cost-Volume-Profit Analysis. The thesis group consulted with a content expert who is a MACCOMS instructor for the content of the instructional tools. The thesis adviser was consulted regarding multimedia issues."
