The Human Resource Information System Prototype for Prime Systems Plus Incorporated was developed as a preliminary version of the actual HRIS to be implemented by PSPI. It is composed of the following components: System Administrator, Recruitment, Training and Career Management, Benefits, Time and Attendance, and Records and Reports. The Systems Administrator component allows the entry of such parameters as company and government policies, company and manpower structure, and payroll-related policies, among others. It allows the definition of user levels and the input of new users. The Recruitment module handles requests for manpower. Requests are then checked against the budgeted plantilla and if approved, the process continues until the position is filled. The Training and Career Management component is concerned with training scheduling and management as well as the tracking of manpower movements such as merit increases, promotion, demotion, transfer, and others. The Benefits module is concerned with the availment of such benefits as study grants and loans. Time and Attendance includes facilities for the input and processing of overtime applications and entries to the leave ledger. Records and Reports is tracks employee data in the 201 file.
