Description
Summary:The IMS-Trust Management Information System (IMS-Trust Management IS) is a Windows-based information system for PCCI's Trust Department, which provides monitoring and management of inflows and outflows of their funds or resources in the Trust Department. The IMS-Trust module is designed to automate the transaction for the Trust Department. This includes the Investment Management Account (IMA) Transactions, Trust and Other Fiduciary Account (TOFA) Transactions and Common Trust Funds. This module performs the backroom operations by monitoring the trading order transaction of the Trust Department. It also performs computations of necessary values needed in the transactions and generates needed reports for the department. The group developed the system with the support and supervision of PCCI-TRUST DEPARTMENT Personnel. The methodology used by the group in the completion of the project was divided into four top-down phases : Project Assignment and Planning, Analysis, Design and Implementation, allowing project progress and output to be reviewed and approved in stages by the management, the users, and the thesis adviser of the group. The information needed for the group to effectively simulate the proper information management of items relevant in trust operations was provided by the trust personnel and with the aid of the existing Funds Management System. The group used Microsoft Visual Basic 5 for developing the user interface and software interface and Microsoft Access Version 7.0 for Database Management."
