PCC: A 32-bit C development system for pulse-32

For every operating system that goes out in the market today, a means by which applications can be created is greatly needed. This is because any computer system's value is determined by the quality of the applications available for it. Compilers were introduced just for this purpose. It is of...

Soriano, Gary R. For every operating system that goes out in the market today, a means by which applications can be created is greatly needed. This is because any computer system's value is determined by the quality of the applications available for it. Compilers were introduced just for this purpose. It is of course possible to program applications without the use of compilers but this would be unnecessary and undesirable: either a slow interpreter is used or assembly programming will be required. Our thesis aims to provide a C programming environment for Pulse-32, De La Salle University's homegrown operating system. The system will ideally support ANSI C standard libraries since they are basic programming necessities. Without a compiler that runs on Pulse-32, the development of useful applications would be difficult and thus the continuous growth of Pulse-32 would be impaired. 2000-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_bachelors/14240 Bachelor's Theses English Animo Repository Compilers (Computer programs) Operating systems Computer Sciences
