Description
Summary:Almost every computer nowadays is associated to a network. This massive integration of computer systems offer performance that is unattainable by any single machine. Remote execution allows programs and applications in a network of computers to be executed from one workstation to another. With remote execution, computational powers of idle workstation that will enable machines with different operating systems to communicate with each other and perform remote execution. This application is called Rex, a remote execution facility placed on all machines on the network. It allows remote execution of files from one machine to another regardless of its operating system as long as the source files needed for compilation are sent. It also keeps track of system information such as hard disk space, compilers present, and number of processes running. Rex enables the user to run a program on another machine that may be faster and more powerful, helping the user maximize processing time.
