Description
Summary:With the cost of automobiles and vehicle maintenance steadily increasing, not to mention the constant hike in fuel prices, tires, and other spare parts there looms a demand for low-cost, high quality monitoring and measurement systems in automobiles that will be able to help drivers and motorists be more efficient and especially safe in terms of maintaining their vehicles and at the same time avoiding mishaps that may permanently alter their lifestyle. One solution is the design and implementation of a system that is able to monitor and diagnose an automobile's basic and most important functions by integrating separate monitoring units including fuel level and consumption, tire pressure, battery level, and interior carbon monoxide concentration using a number of microcontrollers. By utilizing different sensors to gather pulse data from different parts of an automobile like the fuel lines and the speedometer mechanism, together with the design of corresponding pressure sampling and transducer circuits through microcontroller applications, the result will be an integrated system that alerts and warns the driver of possible problems that are occurring in the vital functions and aspects of a regular automobile."
