Description
Summary:The Automated peso Bill Counterfeit Detector is capable of determining the authenticity of a peso bill of denomination, 100, 500 or 1,000 Philippine Pesos. It can authenticate using UV and infrared LEDs and a sensor adapted for the detection of the bill's security thread. It can sort the authenticated bills into genuine and counterfeit classifications and has its own output bins after the separation. It accurately authenticates a peso bill if it is new ('crispy'). Bills that are worn out, with writings and crumpled are considered of no value by the system. The system gives its user the advantage of user-friendly system. The design of the counterfeit detector requires knowledge on operational amplifiers, data acquisition systems, signal conditioning circuits, DC and stepper motors, Liquid Crystal Display control, fiber optic sensor, UV and infrared light emitting diodes and photodiodes. Knowledge on MATLAB and C-Language for the microcontroller programming is also necessary.
