DAGAT: DAnjuGan artificial environment

Danjugan Island in Negros Occidental, is known to have a high biodiversity. However, in recent years, increased fishing pressure damaged Danjugan's coral reef systems. DAGAT (DAnjuGan Artificial environment) is a research on simulating artificial life in a coral reef. The research will show the...

Taborda, Juan Jason S. Danjugan Island in Negros Occidental, is known to have a high biodiversity. However, in recent years, increased fishing pressure damaged Danjugan's coral reef systems. DAGAT (DAnjuGan Artificial environment) is a research on simulating artificial life in a coral reef. The research will show the different behaviors of the life existing in Danjugan's reefs. In order for the system to achieve as much realism as possible, the system will be modeled after real-life creatures and will be exhibiting their physical and mental characteristics. The major concepts that would be included in the research are evolution, flocking, and communication. DAGAT would show how the environment would change and react to the different problems experienced in Danjugan reefs. The research would be used as a tool in preserving one of the country's most diverse wildlife sites. 2006-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_bachelors/14417 Bachelor's Theses English Animo Repository Computer Sciences
