Landmines are considered as the deadliest legacy of the 20th century. These warfare tools are explosive devices which are strategically placed in an area to defend a territory from an enemy. Through time, landmines are unused and are long forgotten. This is the reason which makes landmines even more dangerous since these explosives can cause injury and death not only to soldiers but more importantly to innocent civilians living within the vicinity. Landmines have become a major humanitarian problem around the world. And in recent times, landmines are now made up of plastic materials which undetectable by metal detectors. In order to answer this need, an Ultrasonic Landmine Detector was constructed. Our project was intended to detect Landmines, both plastic and metal, buried in soil using an Ultrasonic Signal as the carrier of sounds signals in order to excite the landmine from a safe standoff distance. 2008-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_bachelors/14463 Bachelor's Theses English Animo Repository Land mines--Detection Mines (Military explosives)--Detection |
