In this study, Bluetooth will be utilized in an inventory system. Given with a small range, multi hopping will be used in this study. Extending the range of Bluetooth will make it more flexible in any application. With the different technologies available today, automation for different business processes particularly inventory methods are easily created and managed. Infusing this system with wireless Bluetooth capabilities enhances the system by eliminating cables or wires thus providing a more convenient way of working in the process. Multi-hopping needs to have different routers for transmission of data. Routers are composed of Bluetooth chip connected via USART to a Microcontroller Unit. These routers will detect the next available router to receive the data unit it reaches the database in the computer. This is the medium for the communication inside the system. The input for this system is a wireless barcode scanner. In this study, PS/2 wired barcode scanner is converted into a wireless barcode scanner. With the use of a Zilog converter, a microcontroller and a Bluetooth chip. The destination of data in this system is at the database of the computer. Connected in the computer is a Bluetooth receiver that will receive the data from the routers. It will be stored in the inventory system of the database program. For the overview of system, barcode scanner will transmit the initial data and detect the next available router. The next available router will receive the data and try to transmit to the computer if not will transmit to next available router until it reaches the computer. This system uses Master and Slave piconet. 2009-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_bachelors/14472 Bachelor's Theses English Animo Repository Inventory control--Automation Bluetooth technology
